T.E.A.M. (Together Everyone Achieves More)

TEAM-logoFormerly known as Leadership Academy, T.E.A.M is a free, brand-new training program consisting of four training over four years for high-potential union leaders.

The training is an important part of our continuing investment in YOU.

Through role-playing, self-assessment tests, and other training scenarios, you’ll explore leadership roles as strategist, communicator, mentor, and T.E.A.M member.

This year we are offering the T.E.A.M training – June 23th, 24th and 25th at the Red Lion in Kennewick and are proud to advance all T.E.A.M I and T.E.A.M II members to the next levels while introducing T.E.A.M III. We will also be welcoming all the new T.E.A.M I members to start their experience.

T.E.A.M I:
You will experience the fundamentals of the union and how to become a strong leader while engaging your members.

T.E.A.M II:
You will experience how to handle conflict while resolving issues.  You will also navigate the grievance procedures.

T.E.A.M III:
You will experience how to read and understand an Employer’s budget in preparation for bargaining, followed by understanding the bargaining process from start to finish.

  • All attendees must be current PSE members in good standing.
  • Complete the registration form and submit by April 28, 2017.
  • Commit to utilize the new skills gained within your chapter.
  • Attend all sessions and complete the assigned curriculum.
  • Secure release time from your employer, if necessary
  • Complete each session in order to advance to the next.

PSE is committed to the success of each of our 229 chapters and because of this we are offering this training at a minimal cost to the membership.  PSE will cover the cost of the program to include registration, lodging and meals (after the event starts).   The only cost PSE is asking you to cover is your travel to and from the event. If you are accepted, you will be expected to share a room with a member from your chapter or zone.

Members interested in attending must contact their chapter president or zone director. Qualifying members will be emailed a registration link that must be submitted by April 28, 2017 for the event.
