Candidate Call

member 2Every year at PSE’s Convention, delegates get the opportunity to vote to choose new union leaders. This year, elections for President, Secretary, and even numbered Zone Directors will be held. Delegates can only cast their votes by attending convention. Candidate information will be included in the Delegate Resource Guide.

You should have received your delegate election mailing, and you are encouraged to send as many delegates as allowed. Please remember that the meeting to elect your delegates and alternates must be held before June 5.

If you have questions about the election process or about the mailing, please contact Lenda Johnson. You can reach her by email at or by phone at 253-876-7447.

member 1Looking for a few good delegates

Sergeant-at-Arms delegates are needed for the business sessions. You must be elected as a delegate from your chapter. PSE will not cover your expenses. We are looking for door monitors as well as those willing to monitor floor activity.

PSE Needs You

member 1Are you interested in opportunities to get involved in your union? PSE provides opportunity for member involvement through voluntary service on various State Committees.

Serving on a state committee is a responsibility that should not be taken lightly. If you are selected to serve, you must be able to attend scheduled meetings, have access to a computer with the internet and provide PSE will an email address that you check frequently.

Most committee meetings are scheduled on a Saturday to reduce conflict with members’ work schedules but will require you to travel and depending distance an overnight lodging.

PSE reimburses for mileage associated with using your personal vehicle as well as meals or other expenses incurred that are related to serving on a state committee (Policy 3001B).
