Shout-out to PSE’s Franklin Pierce chapter! They just donated $5,000 to our Emergency Relief Fund (ERF)!
PSE’s ERF Liaison, Kathy Stewart, says this is the biggest donation she’s seen since she’s been working with PSE—and she’s been a member of our staff for many years!
Chapter Co-president Angie Wiest says, “We have done well with our finances as a chapter, so we felt, since we have the funds, we should help our fellow brothers and sisters who aren’t as fortunate.”
Chapter Co-president Marianne Rosen added, “I felt giving a good sized donation would be really helpful for our members. We could help at least ten families, if not more, that are in real need at this time.”
The donation was also inspired by Angie and Marianne’s personal situations.
“Both our husbands lost their jobs prior to quarantine, but we are feeling very fortunate that we are still employed as paras and receiving pay, even after schools have closed,” Angie says. “But we know there are lots of families struggling. We hope our donation will bless somebody who needs it right now.”
We would like to extend our gratitude to all the members of PSE’s Franklin Pierce chapter for their generous donation. Your kindness will surely make a huge difference in the lives of our members and their families.
