With Governor Inslee’s mandated statewide school closures, it’s more important than ever that we stick together and keep the lines of communication open.
First, we want you to know that you’re not alone. PSE is a family, and we have resources to help you stay connected during these uncertain times.
One of the ways you can get updates from your chapter, ask questions, and collaborate with your co-workers and members across the state is through CONNECT. Members in our union are collaborating and posting updates that you don’t want to miss. In order to receive notices so you can join in on the conversation, you need to log into your Member Portal and set up your email preferences in CONNECT.
If you have not been into your portal before, just click on “Log in to My Portal” on the right hand side of the website. Since you’re a current PSE member, you already have an account so there is no need to create one. Simply click on “click here to reset your login information” and enter your name and home email address to get your username and temporary password sent to your email. Once you’re in the portal, click on CONNECT in the menu to access your online communities and follow the step-by-step instructions below.
1. Click “Sign In.”
2. Accept the Community Guidelines.
3. Click the “Connect” button.
4. Select your chapter’s community (or any community you’d like to set up notifications for).
5. Choose your email preferences.
6. You’re in! Check out the “Latest Discussion Posts” to see what’s new and the “Latest Shared Files” to access documents.
If you have any issues accessing CONNECT or logging into your Member Portal, please do not hesitate to reach out to the Communications Department at email@example.com.
We also want to ensure that you have access to current information on what’s happening in Olympia as we advocate for you and work alongside lawmakers and fellow stakeholders. As this is a rapidly changing situation, we urge you to keep an eye on our Legislative Blog in your Member Portal, where we will be sharing the latest news and updates from OSPI, Governor Inslee, and the Legislature.
We know that there are a lot of uncertainties during this unprecedented time, but you can take solace in knowing that your union is here for you, and we are doing everything we can to ensure you are able to continue providing for your families while staying safe and healthy. We will be sending and posting updates as much as we are able. Thank you for all you do.
