At the 2012 Convention, delegates will vote on the following 16 bylaw amendment proposals:
Bylaw amendment proposal 1: Proposal to modify the language regarding publication of election results
Bylaw amendment proposal 2: Proposal to add language specifying that the Financial Review Committee resolves disputed reimbursement claims. Housekeeping changes.
Bylaw amendment proposal 3: Proposal to increase president’s stipend from $300 to $400 a month
Bylaw amendment proposal 4: Proposal to increase board member meeting fee from $50/day to $75/day
Bylaw amendment proposal 5: Proposal to increase dues to 1.75%; cap of $60; floor of $5
Bylaw amendment proposal 6: Proposal to reduce chapter rebates to 3%
Bylaw amendment proposal 7: Proposal to reduce the number of convention delegates
Bylaw amendment proposal 8: Proposal to modify the language regarding publication of candidate statements
Bylaw amendment proposal 9: Proposal to remove theĀ restriction that a board member must resign his/her board position before applying for a job at PSE
Bylaw amendment proposal 10: Proposal to increase the term for Recall Panel members from one to two years and changing the panel’s election cycle
Bylaw amendment proposal 11: Proposal to change language to allow the Elections Chair to announce results of election earlier than “the banquet following the election”
Bylaw amendment proposal 12: Proposal to add language to allow life members the privilege of voting at convention
Bylaw amendment proposal 13: Proposal to add language to specify that the Membership Committee manages Classified Week and deletes antiquated language
Bylaw amendment proposal 14: Proposal to add language to specify that awards for government officials are determined by the Legislative Council and approved by the board.
Bylaw amendment proposal 15: Proposal to add language to change the mission of the education and training committee from that of job-related training to professional and leadership training
Bylaw amendment proposal 16: Proposal removing term limits for executive board members
