The first snowfall of the season couldn’t keep more than 175 PSE members out of Olympia for a weekend of education.
The inaugural Gear Up! filled South Puget Sound Community College with classified employees from all over the state who were eager to learn ways to organize new members, engage them through new media outlets and ways to message.

Back at the Red Lion Hotel, nearly 40 members gathered in the conference room to learn about PSE’s fight for K-12 health insurance reform to make it more affordable. On Sunday, members met with their local legislators to further discuss the issue.

The grouped got together for the dinner and auction on Jan. 15 and then again on Jan. 16 for a rally on the Capitol grounds about health care reform.
